The response to the First International Workshop on the Analysis of
Multi-temporal Remote Sensing Images (MultiTemp-2001), held at the
University of Trento, Trento, Italy, in September 2001, demonstrated
that there is a clear need to advance both theory and applications of
multi-temporal remote sensing image analysis.

The Second International Workshop on the Analysis of Multi-Temporal
Remote Sensing Images (MultiTemp-2003) was along similar lines to the
first workshop (i.e., a high quality workshop, focusing on the
methodological aspects of multi-temporal remote-sensing image analysis
and on their applications). This workshop was held on the premises of
the European Commission - Joint Research Centre in Ispra, Italy, from
16-18 July 2003.
